Berlin Fashion Week, Part Two

We Heart It Fashion Week Berlin 2016

Last week we again had the pleasure to attend Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin. The stunning runway shows took place in an ice stadium in Berlin Wedding, which was rebuilt especially for the occasion, plus a few different offsite locations, including the beautiful garden of Kronprinzenpalais.

This summer, classic lines and summery pastel colors dominated the red carpet at the shows and events around Fashion Week. As for prints, we learned that florals are never really out of season. And spectators were just as stunning as the models on the catwalk. We saw men and women both playing the accessory game strong. Loads of rings, layered necklaces, and bold sunglasses were prominent trends. Berlin definitely lived up to our expectations as Germany’s fashion capital once again!

The runway shows were all inspiring, and it’s impossible pick a favorite however we were most enchanted by Lena Hoschek’s maritime inspired collection named “AHOY”. The collection featured corals, sailor hats, and lobsters among many other darling details. We seriously want the entire collection!

To top off Berlin’s most epic week, MADE was the perfect finale. Friday at Alte Teppichfabrik, model and DJ Sita Abellan played some electrifying tunes while MADE had a surprise for all guests: vintage clothes hanging from the ceiling for everyone to dress up with and take home! As you can imagine, it was a blast!

Be sure to follow our Collection to see even more. Until next time!

See you in Berlin,

We Heart It - Fashion Week Berlin

This past week we attended Berlin Fashion Week to give you a peek into to the city’s vibrant fashion scene.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin takes place right next to the city’s famous Brandenburger Tor, and at a few different offsite locations. One of our favorites, for example, was the picturesque Kronprinzenpalais, with its beautiful chandeliers and luxurious interior design. The show venues and historic backdrops are an integral part of the whole experience.

On the ground we met so many Hearters and bloggers, snapped street style shots, and saw some amazing designers and collections on the runway.

While Berlin is a permanent fashion capital, we were absolutely amazed how many men and women expressed their individuality and creativity through personal style. Even though the first day started with -7°C, everyone was on fleek! The overall trend among attendees this year was definitely faux fur, which indeed keeps you really warm and, more than that, looks smoking hot.

The runway shows were inspiring and spectacular; we saw so many that it’s nearly impossible to point out the best. The last runway show of the week though was a showcase of Shih Chien University’s Fashion Design Students, which was really exciting and had some crazy pieces that were truly breathtaking.

We seriously can’t wait for summer, when we can do this all over again.

See you in Berlin,
